Teachers will communicate with you on a daily basis so you will always know exactly what took place with your child each day. This is a time of many huge developmental milestones, and we are looking forward to partnering with you and your child on this journey. We hope to meet with you soon and show you all of the great things that Stepping Stones has to offer. Why not get your child started now on what will be the start to an incredible learning adventure?
Your child will be greeted each day by caring teachers who are eager to help your child develop new skills and gain confidence in the world around them. Children will learn through dramatic play experiences, social development, sensory activities, and language enrichment. Your child will be exposed daily to a variety of Bible stories and songs that will increase their love for God. They will flourish in their environment all while learning to build friendships and become part of the EHCS family.
As a part of the three year old class, your child will be learning the ABC’s and 123’s, shapes, colors, nursery rhymes and how to correctly write their name. Bible becomes a big focus as your child will receive his or her own Storybook Bible and memorize scripture. Children in this age group continue to learn through play, along with lessons rich in developing their social skills. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is introduced, and the children engage in many hands on learning projects. A variety of in-school programs are offered to further develop the child’s cognitive and creative thinking.
Pre-Kindergarten students will prepare for kindergarten through early foundational reading, language and writing skills, math, science and social studies. We incorporate STEM activity lessons for the students to explore through hands-on experiments and to learn to think “big” and ask questions. Bible is taught daily which introduces the students to prayer, scripture, praise songs and some of the most beloved stories from the Bible. Students attend weekly Music, Spanish, Computer and Library classes as well as daily PE classes. Pre-K is an exciting time as the students will experience a variety of field trips.
